Since my gallery is being moderated again I thought I'd toss in a little readme. This is my take on a suspension at 1:17 scale. It was inspired by the 1:17 official Lego Ferrari Enzo set, 8652. I was hoping they'd includ something like suspension or a working engine, but was a bit disappointed by the set when I got it. Even model team models had steering, but this Enzo only had two options: going forward and back. So, I set out to create an improved chassis, at 14 studs wide, just like the Enzo. It had to include: - Steering - Suspension on all 4 wheels - at least 2-wheel drive And possibly a gearbox. What you're seeing here is a work-in-progress. I thought of putting this into the official Lego Enzo model, but in the end I think I'll build my own car around it, propably a musclecar. The "additional" folder has some more material. Go fig. So far it has an overlay with the blueprints of a VW beetle (if all else fails I can still build that one), an engine tryout for the musclecar build, an animated GIF showing the amount of space the wheel needs to turn (while still running smoothly, I'd like to add) and soe animated gifs detailing the suspension of the rear axle. If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear them. Please send them to me [at] mahjqa [.] com And put something like "lego car" in the subject line, so I can filter them out of the spam I get. Thanks!
