To find the used dat files for the 121 train, please have a look at this gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=105523 **************************************************************************************** Only a dream....... On April the first in 1999 I added the following article to r.t.l.: Maybe I have made the deal of my life this afternoon... My cousin, who lives near Hamburg sent me a package with a LEGOŽ train set numbered 121. I didn't find the 121 in Pause/Lugnet. Who can help me? The set has a diesel engine and 2 tank cars. The package is heavy used but intact. But what makes me really exited is that these are Esso (European Exxon) cars! Now my questions to all you LEGOŽ experts: Is this a regular LEGOŽ set or a promotional set? The package has copyright from 1966 (very hard to read). Who knows anything about this set? What would it be worth when sold? I had only to pay a handful of bucks for it. The set is complete, no parts are missing, only the building instruction is not at hand. The set contains 10 printed bricks with "Esso" and two red bricks with gold printing "121". The motor (old high type) is still running after all these years! Here's a view in the inside of the box. ***************** I'm sorry to say, that this was of course only an April-fool joke! As far as I know there has never been a train with set number 121. So I made up my own set 121 by building a train in the sixties style, take photographs, stick these to an old LegoŽ package (of set 120) and take again some photos of train and fake package. I think I have done some nice work with that - and I hope I have fooled even some of the all knowing experts! If you take a closer look at the pics again, pay attention of the calendar and the mark on it. ****************** Ben (text above taken from my former homepage "Ben's World of ABS)
