When you contribute:

you will get an icon next to your username when people are viewing your files and folders. The color of the icon is determined by the total of your contributions within the past 12 months.
If you contribute $20 or more per year:
You can browse the entire Brickshelf Gallery and maj.com Gallery ad-free while logged in.
We will not display ads to anyone your own Gallery pages.

Contribution icons will expire each after 12 months, so you will have to send in new contributions each year to maintain your status level.

Be sure to indicate your brickshelf username and/or user id when making a contribution so we can credit it to the proper account.
