Great Northern - 1967 Empire Builder This all started with the bright idea to make the GN Gopher, a train that ran between the Twin Cities and Duluth. I wanted to make a blunt end observation. The cars were named Twin Ports and Twin Cities by the GN, and sure, they never were painted in big sky blue, but hey, lego liberty. At any rate, you need a coach, and oh, they did have domes on the Empire Builder, what about the great dome, and it just sort of spiraled from there. This train uses the GN herald from the modern heralds font, available at www.RailFonts.com. The herald was engraved on panels and tiles by Tommy Armstrong, www.brickengraver.com
