MODULAR-ALL-TERAIN-DOZER This is a model that I build to use in the FLL (first lego League). The idee was to create a 6 wheel drive model that could adapt different types of grippers I had only one motor left to operate thoose grippers ! The Main gripper operates as follow: 1) when down the arms close the switches and so the robot knows when it hit sonething. 2) when closing the gripper the object will be grabbed and then lifted 3) when the gripper is up the object will fall in the holder There is a light sensor mounted to be able to follow a line, or when the gripper is slightly lifted it can see a bright light source. The black scoop operates as follow: 1) by turning the motor down the scoop will go in the ground 2) by turning the motor the other side it will rais the scoop 3) by going even higher it will tillt 4) when the scoop is lowerd the yellow 2x2 slopes will put the scoop back in the normal position The forks are simple but not realy good The light sensor will connect the fork or scoop so it will not break a rotation sensor is mounted on one wheel side The Ldraw dat file will follow... contact Martyn_boogaarts (at) hotmail.com
