Brick replica project: Robert J. Sawyer

These models were created as visual aids for the visit by Robert J.
Sawyer to the PSFS (Philadelphia Science Fiction Society) on fri-20-
feb-2004.  Mr.Sawyer is a popular SF author from Ontario, Canada,
with 18 published books, multiple short stories and repeated awards
to his credit.  His website is www.sfwriter.com.

The eight-limbed Forhilnor (of Beta Hydri III) are one of the two
alien races in _Calculating God_.  They arrived at Earth with a
second race, the Wreed (of Delta Pavonis II), in search of
paleontological evidence for God, who they considered a matter of
scientific fact (ie, overwhelming evidence).  They arrived aboard
the starship _Merelcas_ ("Stellar Voyager" -- it was named by
committee), which is green.  

Think of the exploratory starship _Starplex_ (from the novel of the
same name) as "_Enterprise_ done right."  The central disc contains
docking bays and engines at its rim, and an oceanic habitat for the
dolphin members of its crew in the center.  The eight wedge-shaped
habitat/lab sections can be separated and left on-site for long-term
studies.
