Hello! This hummingbird (kolibri in german) experiment was originally meant for the still picture, not for the little animation. So the animation does not include a complete cycle of the movement of the wings and is only "spin of". The scenery is created in ldraw and with lpub/L3P the povray file was generated. Inside the povray code I implemented the animation using the clock variable. Groups of objects (f.i. the wings) are first translated and combined in a way that the rotation point of an complete object is at a point where it is connected to the next element (f.i. the shoulder, and the rotation point of the shoulder where it is connected to the body). So the angle of the different rotations can be easily related to the clock variable. After processing 20 frames, they were overlayed in gimp and finished in micrografx Picture Publisher. The small animation was created in Microsoft PitureIt! since I have no idea about real animation tools :-(. But it worked anyhow.
