Prinoth Leitwolf ------------------------------------- This amazingly accurate MOC of a Prinoth Leitwolf snow groomer was created by Designer Han ( http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=341066) who was also kind enough to create an excellent set of instructions. The availability of instructions was what this the first Technic MOC I attempted to replicate. He does a far better job of explaining the details of his model than I would, so please see his web site (http://www.designer-han.nl/lego/prinoth%20leitwolf.htm) for more info. I'll just summarize the functions below. - Independent left and right track driven by dual Power Function XL motors. Spring loaded track system keeps tension on the tracks. - Front blade raises with PF Medium motor and tilts back and forth using a know. - Rear smoother raises with PF medium motor. - All motorized functions are remote via PF Infrared transmitter and 2 receivers. - Track suspension can be raised via a pneumatic pump hidden under the engine compartment. - There's a working V-6 in the engine bay. - An optional drum winch is fitted to the rear. For this render I wanted the model to appear in a natural setting. Since I haven't figured this out in POV-Ray yet, I actually used a photograph for the background. I rendered the model with a transparent background, the laid it over the top. I added a drop shadow in Photoshop to give it some depth, and the lens flare was also postprocessed. The render itself uses LGEO parts as much as possible, radiosity, and HDR lighting. - Blakbird 2008
