Hello, my name is Jan. I am a member of the German LUG 1000steine. Here I show you my modular marble run built with bricks. The basic idea was to create a marble run you can change quickly. The modules basic is 6x6 studs. The hight of these modules is 4 1/3 brick. Bridges (8 studs long) can interconnect the modules. Different kinds of modules are available: curve, crossing (with and without a hole), booster, branchings etc. Description of the folders: FirstOne: Here you find my first marble run. The basic shape of the modules is ready but my bricks collection does not allow an uniform colour scheme. Not all modules were good enough to be recorded inside the instruction. BigOnes: The modules for these runs are built for an exhibition in a museum taking some months. Visitors could build their own runs with these modules. For that reason the bricks of each module are glued together. Unfortunately about 1/3 of the modules were destroyed. The runs you can see in the pictures were built at my home before the exhibition. All bricks are light bluish grey. Instruction: Because I am convinced of the modular system I created an instruction for the different modules. It was printed in a professional printing company. On the pictures you can see some example pages. The colour schema changes to black tracks. All other bricks are light bluish grey. Set: I have assembled a basic set. With this set the shown runs can be built. The pictures of the runs are rendered. It contains the bricks to build the modules, an instruction, glass marbles and two loose leaves with informations. WIP: In this folder you find pictures of modules that are not inside the instruction because they are not yet working or they were built after the instruction was printed. There are a some ideas that are not yet realised. If you have any questions please feel free to send an e-mail to polegon=at=gmx=dot=de (remove the equal signs) There is a lot more to explain (Is there a slope in the bridges? How work the pictograms to draw plans? Etc.) but here it is not the right place for it.
