Dear LEGO Fan! Thanks for being interested in my German BR23 steam engine. This model has been built in late August 2005 by doing a ML-CAD draft drawing (approx 25 hours of time effort) and then building the real thing in full details and with working connecting and piston rods. The building time in real bricks was roundabout 25 - 30 hours. Credits: Uli Meyer ("ulimy") has published his great BR23 in early 2005. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=127279 Gerben ("puntcom") has done a variation on Uli's engine design. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=136944 I overtook one certain detail: the sun protection around the windows to the front side which are so characteristic for German steam trains. The wheels of BBB are really great! Thank you to Ben Fleskes for putting so much effort into these cool parts. http://www.bigbenbricks.com/trainwheels.html Kind regards, Reinhard "Ben" Beneke Ben(at)1000steine(dot)com P.s.: In 2009/2010 Thorsten Benter spent a lot of time in creating a outstanding building instruction for this model of mine. 1000 thanks to Thorsten! The instruction is available for free download at http://www.railbricks.com/build-instructions/cat_view/23-steam-locomotives Please respect our interlectual property and do not sell copies of the instruction, any electronic files or hardware copies of the LEGO-Model.
