The Cabriolet model joined the W111 series in late 1960 with the 220SE. The 3.0L W112 Cabriolet followed in 1962, 2.5L W111 in 1965, 2.8L in late 1967 and a 3.5L V8 in 1969. Stylish bodywork, evolved from the Fintail Saloons, was designed by Paul Bracq.
