Rover facelifted the original Project XX Rover 800 in 1991. Keeping the core structure, the car now had more curvy sheetmetal and more formal detailing. In early 1992 a 2-door Coupe was added to the range. From 1992-96 the Coupe was fitted V6 engine only.
